I can amend my holiday for free now as it is before 31 August, however when I go to do it online I am getting charged an amendment fee of £1895!! This cannot be right. Anyone any ideas what is going on or has the same issues?

Is that an amendment fee or just a plain holiday price increase ?
Next years holidays are coming up much more expensive
I take it you have an email from them formally telling you that you can change for freeEx forum ambassador

I think Browntoa may be right.Have you checked the price of the new holiday against what you've paid. The 'amend for free' means you don't pay an amendment fee as per TUI's T&C, not that you can just swap without paying anything. (apologies if you do realise that).I've read some people's holiday changes are cheaper and they are being refunded the difference.Mine for 2021 is significantly more expensive.I'm waiting for official cancellation from TUI (departure date 12th June to Greece so definitely not going) to get the 'up to' 20% booking incentive as the same holiday for next year is over 30% more expensive so even with the 20% incentive, we'll still be paying over £150 more for next year.
It means waiting for my refund credit code though.

I wonder if it’s a problem with the fact that I have already paid the holiday in full rather than having outstanding payments?! Guessing I’ll end up in the long line of telephone callers!!0

I had an email on Friday to say that my holiday was cancelled in September to Zante. It said I just needed to go on manage my bookings and I could change to a future season, without extra cost. I have moved the entire package to May 2021 which was £400 cheaper and they have charged me a £971.64 amendment fee. I have been on hold to speak to someone for a total of about 5 hours but no answer. Very frustrating.0
