I did try with them as I’m sole trader personal account holder but after a week of waiting wouldn’t help me as I don’t live in Scotland.. May I ask if u r sole trader/ltd with personal/business account as I have a raised complaint with them over this0

Sole trader, personal account with RBS for years but no business account.
Not sure why you have to live in Scotland to bank with RBS - you sure that's what they said?0 -
Hmmm interesting 🤔 I’ll be mentioning that in my compliant to RBS it’s funny only people within the feeder account / BBL departments were saying the whole Scotland thing and I got and email also but any otherRBS advisers I’ve mentioned it to including complaints couldn’t understand it either, when feeder account was rejected I was told to apply with NatWest as they were dealing with England , 11/5 applied with NatWest for feeder account, a week later was told they couldn’t help me but a day later they told me my new business acc was open (they have opened me a business acc not a feeder) applied for bbl sent and signed loan docs Pretty much straight away yesterday Now waiting on funds So maybe try them if your struggling with RBS0

I just need to know if it's going through or not. If not, I can get on with another application. It's been a week now - just says 'we're checking'
Frustrating0 -
Yes I know I had the same frustration with rbs is it the feeder account u r still waiting for? Or the loan agreement?0
-
Definitely give them a ring or push them to look into it for u on live chat online0

I've just emailed them.0

Just had an email. Said that applications (to open account) currently taking up to two weeks to process.
If they'd just get the IT dept to put a message on the website changing the process time from 48hrs to two weeks, then maybe less of us would be hassling them - leaving them free to get on with things...no?0 -
Anecdotally, it does appear that those that run business accounts for their business are getting their BBLs very quickly. Those that breach T&C and use personal accounts for their business are taking much longer.
