Soo confused after today’s announcement

so confused can anyone clarify
with today’s announcement, 14 day quarantine after travel Back to the UK,  later in the announcement Piri Patel has stated all travel is essential only, but my travel company have said that my package holiday leaving on the 7th of July is still going ahead. So does this mean that the government and foreign office are still saying package holidays should not be going ahead

Or is this a way of holiday companies finding a way to not refund customers that cannot comply to a 14 day quarrintine on there return, due to work commitments

The measures are reviewed every 3 weeks.

7th July is not within the first 3 weeks. Nobody will be able to answer your question until the first review takes place on the 29th June.  I suspect if they stay as they are that package holiday providers will continue their rolling programme of cancellations

You are going to have to.

Personally I think these measures will last no longer than 6 weeks in their current form, that doesnt especially help you mind.

my boss has already said that if we go on holiday and have to complete 14 quarrauntine that it would be classed as AWOL and disciplinary action

I have bet on 9 weeks for what it is worth, which brings us into August. Of course, unless they give advance notice of a change, holidays cannot start immediately anyway, and the FCO advice has got to change from 'don't go anywhere' which is the current advice. Priti Patel gave a strong hint we would not see summer holidays this year

id be happy to change dates or get a refund
just concerned if we wait and jet 2 still fly like todays update on there website  That we will lose our refund options
