Right to refund on hotel?

If they are closed on the 3rd Jun then yes you can get a refund
If they are open on 3rd Jun swap the dates ( legally you aren't due a refund)

Is it advisable to take their "Put on Hold (for 5 months)" offer, from the hotel, even though I am trying to return my money via the bank? (I was due to go on 3rd June) - or does it not matter whatever the hotel says/ offers/ tells me to do??? (hope you see what I mean?

If you take their offer, then any action via the bank can fail as they will say you already accepted an offer.
