Help to buy equity loan ending before house is built

Hi all, A new build house has come up for sale which I want to purchase using the help to buy equity loan. However as I already own a home the house needs to be ready before 2021 to get the loan. As it stands, your property must be build complete and have received NHBC sign off by 31 December 2020 to receive HtB funding under the current scheme. The rider is allow you to keep your deposit should you no longer qualify under the current scheme rather than allowing you more time from the deadline. Only the Government can change the deadline. It is worth asking you MP to support.
