I have spilt with my wife she has throw all my ppi paper work away can i ask the bank for a copy of the paper work

Just ask the bank that made the payout for details of the statutory interest and tax deducted.
You don't need details of the "PPI" element as that isn't taxable and didn't have any tax deducted from it.
NB. If the payment was from before 6 April 2016 don't bother as you are too late.0 -
