Redundancy Alert

I have just joined a manufacturing organisation in Feb and this afternoon we received notice that 35 staff would be made redundant and detailed the process of this starting next week. This is a company that was just bought over in October after risk of collaspe. Therefore many will find themselves in the same position as me as even those long term employees did not have length of service carried over. Now only working for them a few months and of those few months been furlough apart from 4 weeks of actual work.
Anyone any advice from experience what I should do regarding finances, job search or simply keep calm and carry on.

35 out of how many?
All you can do is sit and see what happens with regards to the redundancy. In the meantime nothing stopping you updating your CV and looking for other work.
As for finances just try and cut back what you can and start saving to make it easier if you do lose your job.0 -

Sadly, it sounds like the company was never saved from risk of collapse by the acquisition.0
