Carpaccio - basically a plate of thinly sliced raw steak.1

Pasta. Probably with chillies and blue cheese. Sticky toffee pudding with mascarpone for pudding. If I knew it was my last meal then loads of red wine to wash it down!!1
-
A big fat fillet steak and blue cheese sauce with really well done chunky chips, followed by a chocolate brownie and ice cream. Washed down with a nice bottle of St Emillion.
Making myself drool!1 -
Aubergine parmigiana, with a Pinot Grigio, then sticky toffee pudding and custard, as well as the toffee sauce.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.
(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)1 -
Beer-battered Mushrooms, with cheese and chive dip for starters, Spaghetti Carbonara (main), followed by Ice-Cream Sundae.
My husband (after a great deal of thought!) chose a mixed grill.

Salmon with a good home-made hollandaise sauce, leeks and peas. Cranachan for dessert.
Am I allowed a starter as well? Prawn cocktail. Yes I know it's decades out of date but I still love prawn cocktail as much as the first day I tried it.1 -
Probably good old British fish n' chips from a chip shop. Or a takeaway chicken dopiaza. Followed by Apple pie and custard. Then either Pinot Grigio or Merlot, depending whether I was in a white or red mood(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton1 -
Ooh.
Melon and berries to start in coulis.
Beautifully cooked Roast beef with yorkshire puddings, stuffing, spuds, broccolli, corn, sweet potato and kale (and pork crackling on the side with apple sauce spread on it) & a lovely rich meaty gravy.
For pudding chewy meringue, berries and sauce with soft mixed fruit salad underneath.
Il wash it down with strawberry daquari and a glass of water.1
