I used a PPI Claims company to act on my behalf to trace any PPI claims I might have, they said I had a claim against a major credit company.  The credit card have completed it's investigation and assessed that I was not mis-sold PPI, however because of a ruling at the Supreme Court 2014 Plevin vs Paragon Personnel Finance Ltd because over 50% commission was paid to lender I was entitled to compensation.  The credit card company has paid me direct and not the PPI claims company, what I would like to know do I legally have to pay the PPI claims company as I lost the PPI claim,

The Claim Company will still want the agreed percentage of any Plevin award you received and your legally-binding contract will make this plain. It would only be a "no-win, no-fee" arrangement  if you received nothing.

Basically, you had partial success based on undisclosed commission.

By the way, it's routine procedure for the customer to receive all the redress directly  and it's then that customer's responsibility to pay their third party representative from the proceeds.

Thanks for that, to be honest if I didn't have too pay, out of fairness I was going to offer half what it would have been.  I'll contact them now.  Thanks again.

They'll be sending you a bill shortly in any case. As the company is your representative, the Bank are obliged to tell them the outcome  of your complaint
