Removal of G4S business electricity meter for domestic meter

Last year we moved into a house that had recently been converted from a business premise (accountant office) to a residential property.

The electricity meter in the property is a commercial/business one and at the time of us moving in, the supply was with British Gas business.

At the time we moved in, and for ease, we kept our supply with British Gas but we're now looking to switch suppliers.

We're finding it difficult to find a new supplier as many won't off a domestic supply due to the meter and frustratingly, G4S, whom the meter was installed by no longer appear to own that area of the business and I've had no joy contacting Morrison Data Services, who took over that area of G4S's business.
Ideally I want this meter removed and replaced with a domestic meter but I'm told may struggle. Does anyone have any experience with this, or advice?

Thanks

There is probably no need to change the meter itself - just to get it recognized as domestic and that's a database exercise.
Talk to BG Business - not the normal BG Customer Services as they won't have a clue.

PS Nothing to with G4S or Morrison  - its not their meter - they are merely contractors acting n behalf of the supplier.

    Hi Robin9
Thanks for the quick reply. Good idea, I'll give them a call first and see what they can do. Hadn't really considered that.
