I know these things happen, but I just wondered if there was anything I could do - am I covered for a repair maybe or do I just need to take it to the tip!
Bought a (Hisense 4K) through AO.com in October 2016. I paid for it via their free 6 month 0% finance scheme through V12. It just without warning stopped working yesterday and wont even power on. Tried every single suggestion to fix it via youtube videos - nothing.
Its not even 4 years old - is this just the way these cheap TVs are made now and there's nothing I can do other than see if its worthwhile repairing, or tip it?

You do have consumer rights, but to be honest for a relatively cheap brand like that, I'd chalk it up to experience. To exercise your rights after this long, you'd need an independent report to show the fault was inherent. AO would then have the choice to repair, replace or refund, but they would be permitted to take into account the 3.5 years' use so a refund will probably be negligible.
Next time, buy a decent brand from John Lewis or Richer Sounds. I believe both offer long warranties on TVs (5 and 6 years respectively, I think).0 -
Thanks for the advice.0

I shouldn't even ask this, but I will - have you checked the fuse/power point/wiggled all the connections? Sorry - but nearly every time I think something electrical has gone wrong it's been one of those things.0
