Car insurance
I have just read that some insurance companies will not insure if you move house.
I had a driver bump into the rear of my car so I claimed the repair from his insurance.
The next year came along for insurance and they quoted me over £800:00 when the previous cost was £250:00
I tried to talk to them and was told eventually that they would not insure me.
Now if you think insurers do not talk to each other then listen:-
Then rest of my attempts to get car insurance from all companies as recommended by " Moneysavingexperts" was quotes from £800:00 to over £1000:00.
How is possible for my insurance to rise by 400% ?

Because you now have a claim on your record. And, I presume, you've moved and now live in a higher-risk area...?

So you're a much higher risk policyholder... which means they charge you more.
Remember - all it would take would be one insurer to not be part of this "conspiracy", and they'd have much lower premiums and wrap the market up...
BTW, £250 to £800 is an increase of 220% not 400%.1
