£1600 for roof ridge replacement and flashing

Options

As above, we've been quoted (not itemised) £1600 for a c.9 meters of ridge tiles to be fully replaced (not repointed), both sides of the chimney flashing to be replaced, plus a handful of cracked broken/tiles (<10 visible from the ground but sure they'll be a few more up there) to be replaced. Quote includes removing spoil etc and making good / tidying up. It does not include full scaffolding as he says he'll work around that to keep costs down (no idea if he plans on using a tower or just ladders though). He seems reputable and I've struggled to find a good roofer in deepest darkest North Wales so I'm not going to quibble about a £100 or so but it would be good to know if others think this quote is steep or not?

For context we're in a 1950's double fronted semi, concrete tiles not slate.

Thanks in advance

Tom

Before everything ground to a halt, we were looking at paying £1K for new flashing and 2 or 3 new tiles.  Not as much work as you, but included scaffolding.

Having seen neighbours have similar work done last year, not sure that anything but proper scaffolding would be safe!
