I am booked to go to Malta in June booking my hotel via Expedia. Because it is just the 2 off us I always book the room with no cancellation option. Because I haven't cancelled will I have to go down the route of trying to claim back on my credit card. I have emailed Expedia ( no reply ) it wont let me change
Dates on the site. And I am getting no reply from the hotel, thankyou for any advice

Is the hotel still open? if so your credit card Co. will not refund you as the hotel is still available ,getting there might be a different story. Next time it might pay to book the refundable price.0

If the hotel is open and accepting guests then you have no automatic right to a refund via your credit card company.Blade74 said:I am booked to go to Malta in June booking my hotel via Expedia. Expedia and/or the hotel might possibly offer some flexibility on deferring your stay if you no longer wish to travel in June but that really is a goodwill gesture if you have booked a non-refundable rate plan.
If unable to travel to Malta due to FCO travel advisories, Maltese’s entry restrictions or a cancelled flight then this becomes a travel insurance matter (providing your purchased travel insurance covers such eventualities).
If the hotel remains closed you however have different options and rights regarding amendments and refunds.0
