Ticketmaster UK

Hello,
We’re at our witts end with this company. We bought tickets on November 1st 2019 for the Diana Ross concert scheduled for June 2020. A few days after purchase we were invited to a family wedding and because the dates clashed with the concert dates, we proceeded to sell our tickets on the ticketmaster site. They sold within hours and we received an email telling us that we wouldn’t be refunded until 10-12 days after the actual event. When I questioned this given that it would be an 8 month wait, ticketmaster said that it’s standard procedure to ensure that the new buyers get the tickets and gain admission. Ludicrous given that the tickets hadn’t even been issued. We wait patiently only to find out a few days ago that the concert is now postponed until sometime in 2021. Are we getting our long overdue refund? No! Now we have to wait again until 10-12 days after the new date of the concert which will mean that we’re waiting for a £300+ refund for 2 years and that’s assuming the event isn’t postponed again.
This is beyond a joke and has left us in financial hardship as we were expecting this refund in a matter of weeks having waited 8 months already.
Is what they are doing legal?
Thank you

Another newbie with a number in his/her username, scrolling past all the money boards and lo! "finding" DT....Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

What are the terms for Ticketmaster's re-selling service? Presumably you agreed to them when selling through them?
If the delayed refund is causing you financial hardship, what would you have done if the wedding hadn't been scheduled and the concert was on?0 -

How to completely put off prospective newcomers in one easy lesson.
FYI, "DT" or Discussion Time to give it its' full title is ideally positioned for those not used to the site to then stumble across - it is after all right at the very end of the page on forum headings.
Thankfully the forum has Board Guides; thanks for moving this to a more appropriate place, @Cornucopia0 -
I think it’s standard if you resell, to not get your money until after the gig. Did you read the T and Cs before you sold0
