holiday

my company did not furlough me but put me on working one week on and one week off. I usually work 5days a week but they said only Monday to Thursday so that there was three days with no one working so germs would not spread to the other group.  I was told I had to use half of my holiday entitlement because our holiday runs 1st Jan to 31st Dec.  Having booked the days on one of the weeks I should have been off I was told I now needed to return to work.  what are my rights? do I have to lose my holiday days?

An employer can dictate when an employee uses holiday as long as notice is given....2 days notice for 1 days holiday, 4 days notice for 2 days holiday, 6 days notice for 3 days holiday and so on.

You should not lose the annual leave where you will now be back at work.
