What Iceland did for a friend of mine's relative was way, way beyond the call of duty. They now have another customer who may spend a few thousand a year with them. If the average spend per week is £100.00 then that £5200.00 per year. If that customer stays with that supermarket for a few years that is a lot of money.
There is free parking at my local Tesco with no time limit but if I ever did get a ticket from a Tesco car park that they did not cancel then they would be the biggest loser.
