Time for debt to come off credit files

I paid off a all of my debts at the end of March which were split between 6 credit cards. 3 of them are still showing on my credit file as not being paid off. I want to apply for a mortgage this month, will it effect us getting one.? How long do the credit card company’s take to update the credit files. The credit cards are with mbna and Barclays if that makes a difference
and I have checked on all 3 credit agencies.

Thanks

It can take a couple of months to reflect on the monthly reports you see, but will show more quickly on the live reports.

It can take anywhere between 6 to 8 weeks for it to be reflected on your credit reports, it would be a good idea to have statements handy showing that the balances are paid off to show your mortgage advisor.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.

Thank you both was just concerning me as it’s now been 6 -7 weeks. If there is a life system which the mortgage companies use then that’s fine. I have all the statements so can prove when they were paid. Thanks
