AlphaRooms withholding thousands of refunds and credit notes

Hi guys,
it seems the coming Alpharooms are withholding customers refunds and claiming to issue a credit note. You only have to look at TrustPilot to confirm this isn’t the case and everyone (including myself) is being given copy and paste responses. They no longer answer the phone unless sales related and refuse to discuss any refunds.

Their Facebook posts and Twitter interactions confirms a similar pattern also.
I’n almost £700 out of pocket and I’m sure there’s people out there with far greater amounts looking at the reviews.
How can a company effectively be allowed to steal money and nothing gets done about it?

I am in a similar position, I booked a hotel through Alpharooms for next week, this was cancelled by Alpharooms and I was offered only a credit note which is valid for 13 months. only after this date can I apply for a cash refund. I contacted them to state I would not be accepting a credit note and was told that is all they are offering... I have since been in contact with the Citizens advice bureau, who have reported my case to trading standards. I have requested details of Alphrooms full terms and conditions and details of their formal complaints procedure... To which I am currently being ignored.
I have also applied for chargeback through my card issuer and am still waiting for a response.0 -
