Best Hose To Use With K3?

Can't get my existing hose with hozelock fitting to stay connected to the K3 during operation and a bit of leaking is occuring with the outside tap from the hozelock connector (the hose was from Wilkinsons).
Q.Is it normal for a bit of leaking?
Q.Can anybody recommend from experience a garden hose set to use with the K3? (i notice the Karcher hoses seem to mostly have negative reviews unfortunately).
I have not used a pressure washer before so i am finding it a bit scary.

I use a hozelock hose and fitting never had a problem. I have however retired the karcher for something better.1

Have you simply turned the pressure up too high on the tap? That would be enough to blow most connections apart when the water stops flowing. A small amount of leaking isn't unusual and shouldn't be a problem.

I find Gardena hose fittings are much better than hozelock. Currently use with my own Karcher K3.1

I followed the instructions to use the gun without power to get the flow but when i turned it on the water was cutting out as if not enough was coming through, not sure how to gage how high to turn tap on.TELLIT01 said:Have you simply turned the pressure up too high on the tap? I just assume that all hose fittings leak, and don't worry about it. Cheap and/or old ones may fly off under pressure. Bin them and get new ones.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
Maybe the o-ring on your hose connector has had it's day, just fit another connector, maybe a Karcher one.Frank99 said:Can't get my existing hose with hozelock fitting to stay connected to the K3 during operation and a bit of leaking is occuring with the outside tap from the hozelock connector (the hose was from Wilkinsons).

Ignore that, the o-ring is actually on the pressure washer, but my point still stands maybe the O ring needs changing and/or the hose connector as well.0 -
That's because you need to let the water flow long enough to allow the air block to pass, then turn on the power.Frank99 said:

I see, how long should i run it before turning on would you say and how will i know that the air block has passed.neilmcl said:

Not long, but long enough.Frank99 said:

Turn the tap fully open and let the water flow through the hose into the machine. If you want to be certain turn the tap on a few minutes before you require it...1 -
When you run the hose pipe on it's own does it usually splutter after a minute or two when first used? Then prime the pressure washer long enough for this to happen and clear before switching on the power.Frank99 said:neilmcl said:
