Yay money still in the account on payday is a lovely feeling! I never seem to get there lol. But then I do put away money at the beginning of the month so I guess my spending is expected.
Are you going to roll it into your debt payment?3 -
Not this time- I'm transferring everything extra into my EF- it went right back to nothing over the summer due to having to get new school uniform/clothes/shoes/trainers/wellies for the kid (she grew about half a foot over lockdown!) and I'm trying to build it back up again.
Buuuut payday on Thurs will take me below £20k! I'm very excited to change my signature.Bottom line;

Irritating news.
Covid outbreak at my school- 2 of the kids have tested positive- so anyone who taught them/TA'd with them Thurs/Fri were ordered home for 14 days, myself included.
Gutted that I'll be at home (really brought home to me how much I love my new school) but it'll give me plenty of time to declutter, take pics for eBay and list them on long auction times so I'll be allowed to get out and post them (thinking of ending auction in 2-2.5 weeks)
Also lots of time to get garden sorted out before winter.
I will however be super lonely.Bottom line;

Planned for the rest of the week today and got a bunch of cleaning jobs done.
Have also sorted through one bit of the wardrobe and listed 5 old dresses of mine on eBay- wrong size for me now
Also on Thurs I will have paid off my energy deficit. Spent an hour looking at comparison websites and found another green energy company who have given me a quote (based off my actual usage as I've been noting it down for the past 8 months) that is £82 a month for gas and electric fixed for 2 years. That's £100 drop from next month! *extra Christmas budget for Nov/Dec then I'm going to add it to the F&F pot.Bottom line;

Thanks! It should have been significantly lower as due to total sods law the manager who OKed my payrise in July turns out not to have passed it onto HR/Payroll for either myself or the other 4 people who were also given raises so we've all been paid our old amount- and she is now on holiday and not answering her phone/emails to HR. My headteacher is sorting it with the head of the company and has apologised and told us he's already arranged for us to be backpaid any amount missing on Nov 1st. So annoying but next payday will be a bumper one and I already know that all my budgets work.
Also been on my bulb account (old energy company) this morning and after my DD has cleared there was still a remaining debt of £11.08 so i've paid that and as far as I can see once my DD for this month clears with them I shouldn't owe them anything. There was a note on their website regarding switching to other companies to say to leave the DD and they'd take 'any outstanding payments' from my bank. I don't like the sound of that so i've cancelled the DD as if they reckon I still owe them money they can send me a bill through to my address- I figure this will be much easier to phone them and discuss a bill than attempt to get any money they've taken repaid.Bottom line;
