MyLostAccount - account found

Hi,
I registered with MyLostAccount and an account in my name has been found with Nationwide. I can't find out if I now need to contact them or if they will contact me? Presumably they have my current address from MyLostAccount.

Has anyone else used this service? Thank you.

As I understand it, once the service tells you that there's an account with any given institution in your name, it's up to you to follow this up - MyLostAccount aren't authorised to change your details with institutions, so if your address has changed then it's up to you to advise Nationwide of this....

You have to contact the bank and go through their process to recover a dormant account. I had two claims last year, one with NS&I which was pretty quick and straightforward, and one with RBS which took a bit longer and involved me going into my nearest branch with a load of ID and filling out their forms. Nothing massively complicated involved, it just takes a bit of time.
