VIRGIN FLIGHTS NOT CANCELLED!

We are due to fly out to LAX from MAN on 4th August for a trip of a lifetime to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary with our children. I have constantly checked to see if the flight has been cancelled, especially as British travellers cannot currently enter the USA, however the flight is still classed as 'on time'. Due to my curiosity, and need for clarity, I checked to see when Virgin Atlantic flights had been cancelled up until. To my surprise, flights for Thursday were still registered as 'on time'. How can this be possible and does this mean that I will not get a refund as it is 'my choice' not to travel, even though I would be refused entry?
I'm very confused and just need clarity so we can move forward and plan for 2021 (hopefully!).
Can I thank you in advance for any responses that can bring clarity to the issue.

Ok, two things....
a) certain flights will still be going as there is nothing stopping US citizens going there
b) the flight isnt for another two and a half months. You really need to be patient. Airlines are cancelling flights a week or so before in the main. If you booked as part of a Virgin Holidays package this may happen sooner.2 -
Yes, I've only just had an outbound flight cancelled for 10th June and the return is still showing as active. You do need to wait to see what happens a little closer to the time. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -

Thanks for this; my mistake! However, I did actually read the issues on the forums that related to my query, however to no avail.pogofish said:Did did you somehow miss this:

Your question is a common one and unfortunately as has been said here and on other threads you need to be patient. Your trip is a long way away , anything could happen, but if you cancel now then yes you lose whatever part of your money your contract says is payable if you choose not to travel.Lisa_Alston78 said:

I'm not aware of any airlines which have cancelled flights in August. There is a possibility that travel restrictions will have been lifted by then. If they are the normal T&Cs will apply if passengers decide they don't want to travel.

Absolutely, my next set of Ryanair flights is next month and despite all the news saying their planes are grounded my flights are still showing as live. I suspect they will be cancelled a day or two before, I don’t expect them to do it any sooner than that.TELLIT01 said:I'm not aware of any airlines which have cancelled flights in August.
