    Hey some of those pads can hold adecent weight. Even more so if you use multiple. I put up a mirror with one. It has not budged in years.

    here's an example of hooks, other sizes are available, as mentioned you can also get strips for picture hanging.

  • The radiator pipes are often plastic in new build now, so you'll probably not be able to detect them anyway with a metal detector.
