B&Q Vouchers

Got a £50 Select gift voucher from work and transferred it into B&Q E-voucher via their website. B&Q manager at Bishopbriggs store told me they are not accepting any vouchers during the CV19 Lockdown. Thought this was a bit strange since it was an E-voucher and would just need scanned (a bit like the goods).
Contacted B&Q customer services by email no response. Contacted by phone and while on hold (29 minutes) their on hold music is promoting vouchers ironically. The lady I spoke to was very sympathetic, but said she needed to put me through to the voucher folks. After another 20 minutes, the fellow I get through to does not work for B&Q (some 3rd party organisation that develop voucher campaigns for B&Q) and could do nothing to help.

So please be very careful about purchasing B&Q vouchers at this time. Probably best to get the universally accepted vouchers, which is the one with the picture of The Queen on it - CASH.

Our b&q are not accepting cash or vouchers and neither is Homebase. It’s all clearly marked in my local stores.

Yes, however to keep selling them meantime is bordering on fraud, when they know they cannot be redeemed

    bordering on fraud?
They will be able to be redeemed when this is all over.
Can they not be used online?

I find it best to print off B&Q VOUCHERS and take with one into store - I intend to be in own personal lockdown until Wednesday 26th June - then go into a B&Q store first time for nearly 4 months with a long list of DIY/Garden back log items and spend something in the region of £125 to get voucher discount(s) plus !0% off Wednesday
as a over 60's Diamond Card holder. The vouchers expire 29/6/20. What I am annoyed with B&Q about early April I tried ordering on line but the web was a mess - when I did manage to place a order the web switched the c&c to a store 40 miles from home ; I asked for home delivery but it was extortionate ransom monies - then they switched the C&C order to one 15 miles away by that time I had cancelled by phone call ; plus text plus web message - the goods never got collected or delivered therefore. I discovered on my credit card statement B&Q have taken the monies off my card on the 12th April and "closed" the C&C ORDER as "despatched". I never got the goods at all; didn't want to do c&c ; cancelled and didn'twant home delivery but they have taken the monies. I did on line home delivery orders with other suppliers shoes ; clothes ; books and the payment was only taken the day or day after the goods were delivered and left on our doorstep. I have had to chase several times by web messages and emails B&Q for my monies return. At 20/5/20 I have contacted the credit card company to dispute with B&Q
