Old sprouting onion
Comments

Treat it like any other bulb Duncan - look after it. It will flower, and beneficial insects will love it and they'll be really pleased with you. After the flower there will be seeds to save for next year. This is a good use for any old sprouting onions. They are Alliums.Another plan is for humans to eat the green shoots snipped into any meal they fancy.1

I'm looking forward to see what happens with it, if there are seeds eventually, they will get dried and planted next year.
More shoots have sprouted since the bulb was planted so it has obviously taken a liking to its new home

Seems there's a few similar on YouTube. You could just take a run through them.1
