Whats best to improve my rating?

Following a divorce and a lot of borrowing my credit score hit an all time low, due to the amount of credit.
I have never missed any payments and have had the bank account for over 20 years, no CCJ's or defaults.
I am striving to pay off my debts within 12 months. As I pay off each credit card (av credit limit £7.5K) should I decrease the credit limit or not touch them or close accounts until I have cleared most of my debts?

Don't try to change the credit score, which serves no purpose  Just work on improving how lenders will assess you for risk.

Pay off the debts but leave the limits as they are - both now and once all debts are paid off.  It will show lenders that you can handle credit responsibly.  Be aware that your scores will drop as you clear the debts, particularly on Experian, but as I said above, that doesn't matter.

Exactly as above, lenders see your history not the score.
Just keep an eye on your report for anything untoward.
