    Not sure I understand how you could say that you agree with your ex-girlfriend when she says you work too much, and then go on to say you think you have a good work/life balance?

    I think you need time to grieve for the loss of the relationship before you can see this situation clearly.

    I think it is missing dating that is affecting his income.
    You may consider you have a good work/life balance that suits you. 
    It is not a work/life balance that suits your girlfriend.
    So you need to consider what you do want. What is more important to you - your work or your girlfriend.
