At 1500 miles a year, it is a very expensive car to run.
An old banger would do the job or hire a car when you needed it.
As far as balloon payment, prices will be falling through the floor so it could be worth a haggle.0 -
No, you can't negotiate the balloon at the END of the PCP.
The balloon is the remainder of the amount you borrowed that you haven't paid off yet - a smaller balloon would have meant higher monthlies through the duration of the loan. Either pay it and keep the car, or don't pay it and hand the car back.
BTW, you do realise that having this car has cost you about £2/mile so far, just for the depreciation, before insurance/fuel/etc?0 -
As above, although there will be some that always say no harm in trying, in reality the finance co won't be interested in negotiating the final payment with you.0

Some people like to drink, some like to smoke, some spend 2 weeks sitting on a big boat each year. All likely a lot more than the cost of owning a nice shiny car. I don't even want to calculate what my car is costing per mile at the moment doing 10 miles per week tops but I don't care. It is nice and shiny, has that nice new car smell every time I get in and it is my money.

Two quid a mile across the entirety of the finance, the vast majority within normal circumstances, for an Indian-built entry-level Ford?0
