B & Q Seed Prices

Packets of vegetable seeds in B & Q priced a £2.00 for a minute amount of seeds.
Same seeds with 10 times the amount of seeds in packet £1.15 in local garden centres.
Taking advantage of the ongoing situation I think.

If you look at the prices for seeds at B&Q about 3 years ago:

you can see that they have always been far more expensive than garden centres.
It's not only seeds this applies to, just about everything they sell can often be found far cheaper from other places.

Don't buy much from B & Q now anyway it's just that the seeds prices caught my eye.
As you say most of what they sell can be found a lot cheaper elsewhere.

B&Q have always been expensive for seeds and plants.  Always makes me raise an eyebrow when I'm watching Garden Rescue and you can clearly see all the plants and aggregate etc came from B&Q.  Local garden centres are always the best.

My local garden centre is expensive, far more so than the likes of B&Q.

Where they excel though is customer service. Purchased a Pond pump and it failed well inside its warranty period. Checked
my receipt box and found several receipts for the price of the pump, but most of the receipts were really faded, just make out
the prices and their logo etc.  Took the pump in and the handful of receipts and they had no quibbles at at.

Gave me a brand new boxed pump and all accessories, asked if they wanted all the extra's as my pump was plumbed in
but they said no take the lot.

Bought some other pond items and they had taken it out to my car without me even asking.

Good point. I bought a watering can from screwfix this week and the German lable had Screwfix.com and DIY.com on it. So out of interest I looked it up on the B&Q website, where it was £1 dearer.
