New to Barclays - £10 overdraft applied almost a week later?

Hi all,
I joined Barclays and my overdraft limit showed as zero. For about a week, then one day - I saw a £10 limit on there.
I understand it's sort of a buffer but I wanted more info on this since it's not mention anywhere on their website.
Is it based on credit scoring and therefore only an option to those who qualify?

Reason I ask is my credit score isn't great and I was absolutely delighted to see I was "trusted" sort of thing but I just found it odd how it was applied after a week if it were a "buffer".

Thoughts?

It may be something they have put in place for higher risk customers to help in the current circumstances.
Or it may simply be an error.

Either way, stay out of it.

It's cheaper for them to give you a £10 buffer than deal with all the phone calls from people who complain about being charged, for only going overdrawn by a few pounds. However neither my online banking or barclays app shows the £10 buffer as an overdraft.
I'd ask Barclays. I think people with arranged overdrafts (not just the buffer) get £750 interest free at the moment.

Barclays are very quick to notify you via text if you go into the buffer - but £10 isn't a lot and if you exceed it it's an £8 fee to start with.
