Flat Parking

Hello all, just looking for some clarity regarding local parking. We live in a flat block which is next to several other flats with some houses in between. Most of the addresses have there own garage and there are a few areas for parking out of the garages (not in front of garages, separate areas). However apart from two spaces which are marked by wall plaques belonging to a property, nothing else is marked to say it is or isn't a parking space. I have been parking in a space next to these 2 spaces no problem for several months, however my neighbour has just explained he has bought a LWB vehicle and cannot get into his adjacent space because parking here obstructs him. This hasn't been a problem whilst he has been storing a standard vehicle in the space because the clearance is plenty big for a standard vehicle. Now of course I understand if the space I have been using isn't actually for parking then I have no right to contest this. But if it is then it means he is rendering this space unusable by storing a vehicle larger than an average parking space in his, this would also surely mean the onus is on him to find elsewhere to park the vehicle.
I am unsure if the law regarding this has any discrimination for different size vehicles, if anybody would be able to provide information that would be great.
Then the next thing would be how would I find information which provides area plans on the buildings and parking arrangement for the area, this way I can confirm if it is actually a parking spot or not. Also does the land which is free count as public or private as I am aware of differences between the two regarding restrictions.
I hope this makes sense and I look forward to hearing peoples responses.

Have you had a PCN from a PPC?
If not, this may be in the wrong board (PM'ing a board guide and asking should see it moved, probably best suited to the Motoring board above this) as we deal with private parking tickets.1 -
No tickets or fines, just my neighbour asking. This sub section states it is for "Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking" which would mean it pertained to all matters of parking and not just revenue, however now looking at all the posts within this topic they are on the subject of fines. I'm not familiar with this forum but maybe some clearer subject headings would be suitable? If this is the incorrect location then it would be best to be moved, how do I contact a board guide?

They dont like criticism here. Make another thread in the motlring section, thats the quickeest and easiest option.

We don't have the expertise to deal with fines and penalties either, only private parking invoices. Pepipoo.com is the best place for fines and penalties.
Your question unfortunately is outside the scope of most of us amateurs here. You are talking about a possible land dispute and legal rights so you need to determine who owns the land/parking spaces in conjunction with your lease/AST if you rent your property to see what it says and doesn't say about parking, especially who can and can't park in a particular space or spaces.
For a few pounds you can pay the Land Registry to determine who owns the land in question.
You would then possibly need to ask your questions on a legal advice forum such as Legal Beagles.

Neighbour disputes can be nasty, and its much better to live with your neighbours than it is to live agianst them.would it be possible to park elsewhere on the land?do you have an asigned parking space? From the Plain Language Commission:
