Virgin media deal

i need some advice please. I have been offered a deal by virgin media but their full discount offered does not show in the updated account online. I can see the new contract but not the discount. When I called and asked them they have said it is a managers discount and would not show on the contract, but would be applied to your bill every month for the next 12 months. I asked them that I need some proof of what you have offered me. 
I am in the cooling period now and my next bill under new contract wouldn’t be generated until the middle of June. If the discount is not applied then I can’t cancel my subscription without a fine because I will be tied up. 
i need some advice please.

  • If its a managers discount then, you can ask them to confirm the actual contract in an email from the manager, as sometimes it cant be added to the actual contract you see. I have in the past had it confirmed by email from manager as couldn't be applied to the contract to actually see.  What was the deal you got offered ?

    I was supposed to receive an email by today, but nothing yet. On calling them the new agent couldn’t even see the discount that was offered. On VM forums there are cases with wrong contracts.
    Did it work fine for you, and was the email a formal letter stating your whole package with discount applied. 

  • hi sonia, the email was a basic typed email with what was in the package and length of contract. if the agent cant see the offer, they should have notes on the system to confirm the package. I would defo ask for email confirmation of the deal from the manager

    Hi Sonia,
    I have exactly the same issue, signed up for the broadband deal (which expired end April) ... supposed to be £24/month but when signed to my account I see £42/month ... Can't find the original offer, as it's gone up to £28/month, here on MSE and uswitch.
    I have emailed Virgin about the discrepancy but have yet to receive anything from them in writing. Not got my first bill yet.
