I chose world Nomads from the recommended insurance companies on here for our holiday to disneyworld  on June 14th. This is now not going ahead so I asked for a full refund  and they are saying as it’s the past cooling off period they don’t give refunds.
But how can they keep my money which was £184 when they have done nothing yet and will not be as the holiday is cancelled.
we will not be going on holiday in the next year or 2 as now we have no work so a credit is no good to us.
did I just choose the wrong company or can I report them?

Why should you get a full refund? The insurance will have been active from the moment you bought it.

Had you broke your neck the week after you bought it, been paralysed and not been able to go, the insurance would have covered you.

This is the case no matter who you booked with.

It's not their fault you haven't yet had a serious accident or other insured event.

I don't tend to crash my car but I don't get annoyed with my car insurance or ask for a refund.
  • AVANTI still not agreeing to refund Annual Travel Insurance, both of us with underlying health issues so not travelling for the foreseeable future.       Their claims must be dramatically reduced by virtue of people not travelling.   Not good customer service - will not use this company again.

Thanks to world Nomads understanding that due to Covid 19 and the fact I had not broke my neck the holiday was cancelled and they have given now  given me a full refund.

Thanks for the update, and well done Nomads, you can't be insane to use them
