Can this foot stool be used for seating?

Not sure if this is considered home improvements or where to ask but i'll try anyway.
I am thinking of buying this foot stool.
In the Q and A the the sales rep says these have a storage compartment and are not recommended for seating.
However the details state there is a maximum weight of 110kg.
Moreover this is £200 but I see cheaper ones for less than £80 advertised as capable of seating certain weights.
Do you think this is capable of seating and the answer is wrong.
Thanks

Of course the answer is not wrong, its a foot stool.
You can sit on a pile of bricks but that doesn't mean they are for sitting.0 -
If a weight limit is stated there is nothing to stop you exceeding it, but it will be at your own risk if you break it. Just because one stool has a higher limit than another does not mean that either figure is wrong. Construction is more important for weight bearing capacity than is price.

In my line of work we market these as extra seating. Perfectly fine for occasional use0

If you use the item for purposes other than it was designed it basically means you might struggle to get a refund if you then break or damage it - for example, if you use a chair designed to be sat on as a step to read your electric meter then you shouldn't be surprised if your foot goes through the seat... doesn't mean you CAN'T use the chair in that way, but it's not recommended. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
