I ended up accepting the BBL from another lender, but for clarity just to put and end to this:
Search HSBC bounce back loan wrong name (I can't post links at the moment).
So essentially, HSBC admitted the mistake and fixed, as far as I understand and the affected people's contracts will be corrected, so my understanding.0
