Partial Furlough?

Hi, I am currently furloughed and work in non-essential retail in Wales. When I go back to work can I be partly furloughed and rest working? So my contract is 40hrs, Could I work for example 30hrs and be furloughed for the other 10hrs?

not at the moment, the chancellor has said the scheme will change at the beginning of august but currently it’s all or nothing with the minimum period of furlough being 3 weeks

Not only that but furlough is at the employer's discretion so if their employment contract states that the employer can enforce short time working if there's a lack of work, then employees may have to go back to work part time and get less than they would on furlough.  If the contract doesn't allow short term working then it should be either remaining on furlough (until the furlough scheme allows part time work) or going back full time, unless the employees agrees to short time working.
