Amsterdam August

Good morning
My family and I have booked a few days in Amsterdam end of August.  I have no idea if we will be able to travel then but I know I would not want to.  Should I be waiting for flights to be cancelled before cancelling hotels or just cancel hotel anyway? I'm just so unsure how it will all work out.

Is the hotel free cancellation?

August is a long way away in relation to the changes due to CV.

Hi  Have you booked hotel separately?   If you don't want to go anyway and it is free cancellation I would cancel now.   Nobody knows how it will all work out, that's the trouble.   If you can't cancel the hotel without losing your money.  I would hang on and see what happens in August.   Obviously, though if it all goes ahead and you choose not to go then you will lose all your money as it will then be your choice to cancel.

The hotel is free cancellation but we have flights booked with KLM.

You will have to wait until August to see if flights are cancelled but you can cancel hotel now if you are absolutely sure you do not want to go in August come what may?   Mind you, you can always rebook a hotel if you change your mind.   I am assuming like most flights, they are non refundable unless cancelled by the airline?
