Cars around 1kish
I'm currently driving a 2010 fiat panda dynamic with 60k on the clock, timing belt changed at 55k. It has alot of dents and a major dent on the rear wheel arch. So it wont fetch much because of the dents but it's a good runner if that matters. I think the clutch might need changing in the near future too.
What should I do sell up or get the clutch changed and live with the ugliness of the dents and run it into the ground?
Say i got 400 for it and put another 1k that gives me a budget of 1,400 pounds for which I can't buy much if anything semi reliable?
Thanks!

Just keep driving it. That bodywork damage would probably make it a write off it was an insurance claimIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1

Keep driving it.If/when the clutch goes, see how much it costs to replace. You can't see the dent when you are driving it, and you said it yourself that you would be lucky to get anything reliable for what it is worth, plus all that you can afford.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Ok lincroft17 thanks for the support lol
the only reason I want to sell it or scrap it would be to have a better condition car. I bought it with the dent from a friend for a low price with only 10k kn the clock and it has been very reliable

Are you even sure that the clutch is wearing out? Is so prices look ok for parts. The big cost will be the labour & time involved, if you youtube it there a lots of vids and lots of bolts being unscrewed. There are clutch people with online shops that can give you a quote. If you get it replaced and with other repairs that you have had done I'd keep it till it dies. In the meantime you could be saving up for a replacement.

Better to spend £400 on a car you know than 1000 on a car whose problems you are yet to find. My father asked for a loan of £1000 for a new car because he said that his present car cost more than it was worth. I told him I would lend him the money to get the present car fixed as better the devil you know more often than not, especially at that end of the market.0
