I am not quite ready to start this new and final diary (my 3rd diary) but I want to get this ready to motivate me for when the time comes (July 2020).
I first came here in 2018 in a right old pickle. I had 7 debts in total:
1) OD 1 £1000
2) OD 2 £750
3) CC1 £3000
4) CC2 £2400
(Maxed out on those 4 debts).
5) LOAN £6500
6) STORECARD 1 £200
7) STORECARD 2 £200
I am due to make my final overdraft payment in May 2020 and my final loan payment is in June 2020. Everything will be paid off apart from....
CREDIT CARD £3100.
The limit is £4400. I am aiming to reduce the debt to at least £1999 by December 2020.
The first thing I am going to do is work towards an Emergency Fund of £1000 by December 2020.
One of my reasons for starting this now is I have to stop using my credit card as my emergency fund. FROM TODAY.
My first diary was 'I hope that I can do this' … 2 years on and I know that I will do this!

Great progress. Good luck on the final stage of your journey to get rid of the credit card. Is it 0%? A small step but I have sent back something which I paid for on my credit card and that was £36. I have something else to return later which cost £11.

Congratulations on your great progress so far! Looking forward to seeing more of this final stage of your debt free journey
I am in a similar stage in that the end is in sight as far as debt is concerned, but I need to work on the savings / not seeing available credit as savings.2 -

I didn't find the time tonight to take the £11 item back for a refund but I will tomorrow. I can also take something back and get a £30 refund tomorrow. Definitely prioritising those things after work tomorrow.
I had to put another £19 on the card tonight for a bill I had forgotten about.
A mishap... A blip in the road... Tomorrow is a new day!
I wasn't able to log in and see my balance exactly last week when I tried so that's another priority for tomorrow or the day after... Small steps. Deep breaths.
I've got the £3100 figure from my credit report so probably slightly out of date.
