@Narola1976 Hope you are able to get out to a green space near to where you live to soak up a bit of this wonderful sunshine. I need to start batch cooking more meals again as I find this saves time and money and I get to use up what is in the fridge. I use my slow cooker and just put everything in the one pot, there are a few good channels on YouTube for slow cooker recipes.

@Seasidegal58 Cant wait until I can work from home, I am lucky enough to have a spare bedroom that I can work out of. I have to be very strict with myself and make sure I put all business stock in the bedroom as it will take over the house. Having only limited space much be frustrating as you cant shut the door on the work space at the end of the day. Hopefully you can return to your work place soon. I am planning on completing another of the session during the week.

@findingthisdifficult We have a separate account for DD's and most of our go out on the 15th, in a previous employment this was my pay date and I just haven't got round to changing them to the end of the month. Hope your weekend is going well.

I have been up since 6am this morning, really fancied a cooked dinner today so got up early to cook one as I could not bare the thought of standing over the cooker in this heat at midday. Dinners are now plated in the fridge and we will enjoy later this evening. Something to look forward too later.

Time to get ready for our daily walk.

Can not believe we are in June already. Happy that the month is starting on a Monday.

Made a list of what I want to achieve during the month. Haven't made a list in the longest time so I am really please with myself. :)

    To Acheive:
    * 150 eBay listings. (currently 221)
    *Sort out the shed.
*Complete 2019-2020 accounts and print out required information.(ready for accountant)
*Print out PPI Savings reclaim form and find required information.(ready for accountant) - Completed
*Sort out kitchen cupboards and clean.
*Food inventry. (Will help with £200 groceries budget) - Completed
    * Make £30 from side hustles.
    *Walk everyday.
    * Two boxes for Music Magpie.
    *Reorganise eBay space.
    *22 NSD's.
    *Complete  Money Academy course.

Think that should keep me busy along with normal household things. Has anybody else set goals for June?

  • Wow sounds like you've got a solid plan for the month.
I haven't set any goals for June yet, hoping to get back to work at some point (albeit working from home).  I've completed the monthly budget review this morning...looks ok so I'm comfortable there.  One of the goals may be to 'move' more, I feel like I've become too sedentary and I think it's making me feel a bit rubbish in general.
    Have a lovely day Doris

@f@findingthisdifficult I find it difficult to summon the motivation to go for our walks some days, Mr D wont take no for an answer, which I happy about and its the motivation I need to get out.

We walked over to see our daughter and grandchildren today as we are now able to sit with them in their garden within social distancing rules. Can't tell you have great it was to be able to spend some time with them, had a discussion about a homework assignment with DGS1 and Mr D fixed DGS2 bike, he was a very happy boy when we left.

Started the food inventory and cupboard cleaning this afternoon. There is so much food here to use, grocery shop will just be fresh stuff this weekend. Mr D has also been busy making  a repair to our decking and a stand for pots out of planks of wood and house bricks. Very pleased with the finished result.

I have also emptied the PayPal account as it 1st of the month and moved the money over to my business bank account and a small amount to my debt savings pot.

We have rain today, the garden is looking very happy. :)
If the rain stops we will go for a walk, hopefully it will as our dog refuses to go walking in the rain, we will see.

Achieved a NSD yesterday and today will also be a NSD. 3/22.
Have printed off £15.00 in M&S vouchers from shopping apps this will go towards Christmas, I have transferred £15.00 into my side hustle pot. Also received £7.50 in Tesco vouchers this will also go towards Christmas.

Finished my food inventory and have a list of about 40 meals we are able to make in the next few weeks, combination of breakfast, lunch and dinners. There is also a shopping list pinned to the fridge and I will add to this items we will need when we go shopping on Friday or Saturday.

Have a few parcels to pack up today and will take to the post office and parcel shop tomorrow. Going to clean the rest of the kitchen cupboards and that's another thing off my list.

Kitchen cupboards are all sorted and clean, feel good to open a door and see everything organised and it didn't take that long.
We have been for a long walk this morning, weather is much cooler today after yesterdays rain. Post office and parcel shop run done, need to go again tomorrow as I have had a few more orders. Mr D made bread this afternoon, this loaf will last until Saturday morning when we will do our grocery shop.
    NSD 4/22.

Yesterday we did our grocery shop and spent £35.00, that includes everything, dog food, cleaning products etc and a bag of straw for our two strawberry beds.

Today is much brighter and warmer that yesterday and we have been for a walk this morning, bedding has been changed and one load is currently in the washing machine, don't know if I will be able to line dry as it looking very over cast, we will see.

Neighbour and just been speaking to Mr D and they are looking to put up a new fence between our gardens, there is currently a wall that is not very safe. Mr D offered to pay half the costs and they said they are happy to cover all the costs as they want a expensive fence, will be more privacy for us and them. Looking to get the job done in the next few weeks.

I have a phone interview with my boss tomorrow regarding my sickness and I'm classed now as long team. I do want to return back to work when my new medication kicks in and I have weaned myself off the old ones. I have started to sort out my eBay space and will be doing a couple of hours each day to get back into having a structure to my day, so when I do go back to work it wont be such a shock to the system.

Also need to look at transferring one of my CC as the 0% runs out a the end of the month.

    NSD 6/22.

You are doing very well by the sounds of things Doris. Very productive indeed and well done on the NSD. I am amazed you were able to do a weekly shop for £35 which included more than just food. I would love to be able to achieve this. Can you give me any tips?

    Current Total = £25534.10

@Narola1976 only bought what we really needed this week. I made an inventory of everything we have in the cupboards/fridge and freezer. From that I listed meals I could make and made a shopping list of what we needed. Hated spending £2 odd on a small bag of potatoes, normally buy a big sack, will buy one at the end of the week when our green grocer reopens. We are also growing a lot of fruit and veg at the moment so that save us money and we are only eating two meals a day very late morning and evening meal. Getting fed up of food if I am totally honest.

Phone  interview went ok with boss and I have to do it all over again with Occupational Health in a few weeks.

Got our morning walk in before it rained again today, yesterday evening turned out glorious don't think we are going to be a lucky this evening as there are more black clouds in the sky. CC  transferred 0% for 12 months. Happy with that. Got 5 drafts ready for photos tomorrow, feel like I have achieved something  today, even if its only 5 drafts.

    NSD 7/22
