Default from Vodaphone

Hi guys,
I’m a newbie. I have a default showing on my credit file from vodaphone every month. I see it goes after 6 years, the amount is 300 pounds wrongly charged. I’ve written to vodaphone 3 times and been ignored. It’s now with a company called Lowell. I’ve never spoken to them, tried to have it removed via equifax but they keep on defaulting. I’m confused reading forums where I stand if I pay the 300 pounds wrongly due. I have until decided to just ignore it and call it bad luck. Now during covid furloughed and struggling my credit score has plummeted majorly. I’m currently at about 67! I paused mortgage, loan and store cards, but they are obviously penalising me? Can they? Please help me get my credit score back on track, I’m a single mom of 3 and so worried right now.

Don't worry about your comedy credit score. It's a little gimmick only you see. That's not the issue here.
Your credit files show how you manage your accounts. If there is something incorrect on there, you need to properly challenge it
It the debts are correct, you need to pay them.
Nobody is 'obviously penalising' you.0 -
Why was the £300 wrongly charged ?If you dispute the debt, and the company refuse to do anything about it, your next step should have been the ombudsmand who deal with vodaphone complaints, nothing to do with bad luck or been penalised, the process is set out quite clearly in the vodaphone complaints procedure.Ombudman services can be found here -
