Cpm parking / Northampton county Court ccj

I have read the newbie thread but in a strange position.
I received a parking ticket last year when the disabled badge in my car fell from the dashboard onto the chair. Obviosuly the private company were like vultures to the car issuing a fine.
I appealed with pictures of the pass which had fallen to chair and was rejected saying its my fault.
I appealed with my new address as I had moved and since then the subsequent letters have been sent to my old address without my knowledge post rejection and the Gladstone brooks letter asking for money.
Today I had noticed a ccj on my credit file for the amount of 273 which I issume is them as I'm debt free and no loans. It was dated Jan 2020!
I have not had any chance to argue or acknowledge the ccj and now stuck with this on my record.
I'm an honest NHS professional so unlikely to ignore debt letters and grateful to have a job in current circumstances.
The ccj doesn't have a name of company on it just Northampton county Court on it and a case number which I will call on Monday for more info hopefully.
My questions are as follows if you can help.
1. Can I Gladstone explain... Offer to pay for removal of ccj? Or is it too late?
2. Can I appeal with some degree of success and ask for proof they sent letters to my current address which they have.
3. Am I buggered, lol
Thanks in advance and stay safe

Oi - no shortcuts!
1. Read the set aside threads.
2. Read them again.
3. File an application promptly at court.
Ticket couldn't be issued. If pass visible on seat through windscreen, then their terms weren't even breached.
They had an up to date address and failed to check which was correct/knew you'd moved. That's not good service of proceedings.2 -
Gladstone brooks letterPlease note, it's not Gladstone Brooks, it's Gladstones. There's a distinct difference between a (seemingly) respectable law firm and one that deserves no respect. Totally different and unconnected. Can I Gladstone explain... Offer to pay for removal of ccj? Or is it too late? It's too late to repair your credit file by making any payment to Gladstones, so don't be panicked into doing so, it won't help you. You must go for a formal set aside. Johnersh (above) is a lawyer, so follow his advice. Set asides are covered in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post down.Make sure you ask the Northampton CCBC tomorrow for the name of the parking company when you call them. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

1) using the actual correct solicitor name would be a good start , it's not the one on TV adverts , but contacting them won't help you anyway
It's not a fine , it was a parking charge notice , or invoice for simplicity
2) it's too late for any appeal , you need a £255 set aside (contested) or a £100 set aside with consent
So a set aside , not an appeal , providing you get the details and the correct names of both companies , because using the wrong names would be a fundamental mistake , it's probably ukcpm and Gladstone's solicitors
3) no , not if you read and digest the second post of the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , also read ten to twenty recent set aside threads on here , plus posts by Henrik and others who know the details better than most people (including me , I only know what I read , so if you read the same threads , so will you)
This is like PPE , Proper Preparation , Expand your knowledge , know the Enemy , don't say it's influenza to a podiatrist when it's actually a CCJ by ukcpm via Gladstone's actioned by the CCBC in Northampton , so correct diagnosis and correct names and locations
If it is ukcpm , email a SAR to the DPO at ukcpm asap , with a copy of the V5C as proof of I D under the GDPR , or copies of 2 redacted utility bills instead , leaving the name , address and date showing
The set aside should be easy to obtain due to the PPC not tracing your current address , but then you still have to defend the original charge and Court claim , so still no appeal , you are defending , not appealing. This may seem pedantic but the legal system is built on pedantry2 -
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
