Is it easy to get Nationwide current account with poor credit score?

And only at the moment having a flex-basic account? Does having a NW current account especially the flex-plus with the added benefits like phone insurance mean you would have a good credit score and good with money management to be offered it? I'm embarrassed about using my red flex-basic card especially around other mothers and friends if we pop into corder shop to buy me fags and pot noodles for kids tea... If I were to apply for the flex current account would I likely be turned down with having a poor credit score?

Use your TSB debit card instead?

    Or your HSBC debit card?

You may be able to upgrade to the flex account? If your using the online app they probably won’t tell you can upgrade. When I have the flex basic I wasn’t aware I could upgrade until I purposely applied and I got accepted. It was some months later when I had the flex account it offered me option of overdraft which I accepted.

The chances of anybody actually knowing that your red card is only for a basic account are extremely slim. So small as to be practically non-existent.

Why not pay with the cash your very good friend gives you every 4 weeks?

To be serious, I would recommend getting a can of spray paint in the colour you like (i recommend gold) and gently spraying the card a different colour but make sure you mask  off the chip first of course

I know your score wont be taken into account, in fact it wont be taken into account for anything finance related.
Your history is whats taken into account.

    OP try this one

Or if the colour of the card doesn't appeal, have a look here

im sloshed After having 2 bottles of frosty jacks. I put kids to bed their playing on they're PS2's.... I want to add that I was happy with me nationwide wide basicaccount with it having contactless and the TSB one without contactless I was self aware using it putting number in each purchase and sometimes for 55 pea for tin of tomorto meatballs from Aldi as they do tend to feed 3 people, I always gives kids more as I am a nice person but shopping in Waitrose for a sandwich as it was close to job centre I thought the stuck up B was judging me with having only a basic flex basic account card she looked at me like poop.. also the security guard followed me around each isle. All I want is best for kids and if that means shopplifting who wouldnt want best for they're kids if father isn't around to support them and universal credit messes us around.. I am lucky that I have people that own us money and they continue to pay, I always open to lend them more doublebubble I'm salary enough they don't mess with me... sorry for the rant just needed to get things off my chest...
