Offer made default but "partially settled" status offered

I defaulted on my Lloyds Bank account in 2016. The balance was £2,200.
An offer was made to me after negotiation for around £1,400. I battled to get it lowered and have been offered the following:

We're delighted to let you know we can accept the following amount to settle your account;

Reference: XXXXXXXXXX
Amount: £1,000.00

When paid, if your account is reporting on your credit file, we'll send an update so that this shows as "partially satisfied"

My concern is that a "partially settled" mark (which I know it is) would carry less weight if trying to obtain credit in the future, than a "settled" status.

Can anyone point me in the right directions as to my options so I can made an informed decision on what's best for me to proceed?
Thanks in advance.

    Partially settled is fine.

    Once you've defaulted, lenders know you'll never repay the debt in full, so you just need to make the payment.
