I am very sensitive to noise especially that I work from home now, I can't concentrate when there's a lot of noise. I use my Professional Safety Ear Muffs by Decibel Defense with 37dB NRR. The same ear protection I use when mowing the lawn. Yes, it's a great idea to talk to your doctor.dannie said:Fire_Fox - Thanks for your suggestions.Unfortunately, the wax and silicone ear plugs only manage to reduce the noise by around 35 decibels, which takes the edge off their gardening equipment noise.I have wondered whether to speak to my doctor about the affects on my health. Also, am trying different methods to reduce "anxiety" and am paying close attention to my diet.0 -
GHolmesAdmin - Thanks for the link. I have tried speakers with an MP3 player and white noise, which works great indoors for removing neighbours noise. Unfortunately, when used outside, the white noise just cannot drown out 100 decibel plus garden equipment.

Ben_eficialFriend - Thanks for your reply. I do have some ear muffs similar strength to yours.
