Best tape gun / dispenser

Hi guys,
I'm after new tape gun...
Currently using one of these:

And it's absolute garbage! Snags/pulls/wastes tape constantly - I barely use it to be honest because of all the issues.
Can anyone recommend anything? I do a lot on eBay etc., so small/medium packages. Plus, I'll be moving soon, twice; parent/then myself, so I need something fairly serious
Thanks!

i use the same tape gun and have no issues with it at all. it's more likely to be the quality of the tape you are using rather than the gun. i have found cheap tape rolls in the past snag or twist a bit, better quality tapes do not.2

This - we have the same gun and use the pricier branded tape (I think it is scotchtape branded at the moment).tonygold said:i use the same tape gun and have no issues with it at all. it's more likely to be the quality of the tape you are using rather than the gun. i have found cheap tape rolls in the past snag or twist a bit, better quality tapes do not.
The cheap stuff is a false and frustrating economy, it either misbehaves or doesn't stick.

Wow, really? Maybe its me then - I only ever use 3M

Even preparing a brand new, flat box is an issue... I usually just take the tape off and apply by hand. And teeth.0 -
I got one of these late last year
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B00195EDOY/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new
I paid about £16 - it seems to have gone up. It's very good.0 -
Have you tried cleaning the cutting teeth? They can get a bit gunky and lose effectiveness...slipd said:Wow, really? Maybe its me then - I only ever use 3M
