What do the DVLA need for a renewed provisional? Done by post.

I'm going to skip most of the explanation, but I need to know if the DVLA need a signature of someone reputable who knows you for a renewal of a provisional license.
This is the postal option, not online.
I can see you need a D1 form pack from the post office, and normally we'd just get one and look at it, but with the current everything it's going to be tricky but not impossible to get out to get one so I want to know in advance if it's a wasted journey.

There's no mention of a signature on their website, which I'm sure you could have checked for yourself.
