credit card for building credit

Hi I am 18 and have never had any credit before therefore have a bad credit score and was wondering if anybody could suggest a credit card, i have an income of around £12k a year from student loans. i am starting university and have a part-time job currently. I would like to get ahead building my credit history and i am responsible enough to not spend money that i do not have , i am going to pay it off in full at the end of every month.

Try the eligibility checker on here - it will probably be one of the sub prime ones but that doesn't matter. Just exhibit good behaviour, pay it in full after you get the statement and it will help to populate a thin credit historyI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans
