Credit Card Refusal

Have had a good rating 998 which I know doesn't mean anything. Never missed a payment on anything I've owed, never used my overdraft. Have enough savings to cover any C/C limit, yet I am unable to get a C/C to transfer from my current C/C. Wonder if the fact I am paying my motor on lease has anything to do with refusal. My income is small about £16/17000 p.a but I have adequate savings which =h I don't want to go into.

It certainly looks like affordability.  Car finance plus a credit card debt on a low income puts you high on the risk scale, especially right now.

Have you used any price comparison pre application checkers?

You'll often find one lender says no and another welcomes you with open arms, they all have different criteria.
